Partnered with the devices team to determine the feature requirements for a new mobile device, Surface Duo. In order to determine the minimum requirements  needed I designed an online survey for the general population, including quotas for all types of tech adopters, with concept testing and feature stack ranking to collect feedback. After fielding the survey I was able to create crosstabs for key audiences of interest to analyze stack rankings and view features by three categories: must have, would like to have, and nice to have. The 'must have' features included ones that would saving time, expanding creative abilities and be portable. After analyzing the survey results, we found that expanding creative abilities on the go was the most important concept and that features should ladder back to that in order to differentiate itself from your standard mobile device.
